About Mya

Ever since I was a small child, I knew I had a passion for birth. Since I gave my life to Christ in 2014, this has greatly impacted my passion for mothers and families. In my own birth experiences, I had some of my greatest moments with God, sensing his presence and His guidance weaving throughout my pregnancy and all the way until I met my children for the first time. My birth team was a very important factor in this, and I believe these experiences prepared my husband and I well for parenthood. I grew to understand that those who attend a birth have a very important job: beyond comforting the family, educating, and caring for them, I take it as my personal responsibility to point them to Christ every step of the way, pray for them frequently, and educate them on birth from a biblical perspective.

In 2018 I served at Dayspring Midwifery and attended Midwives College of Utah.  During that time I got to help so many families welcome babies into the world and I learned so much about holistic care in pregnancy, further equipping me as the doula I am today. I see the need in our community that I'm prepared to help meet. I would love to meet with you to get to know each other more and learn what I can do to support you in your birth as your doula!

As your doula

I'm committed to you. It is my desire to serve you well, help you actualize your ideal birth, and to hold you and your family in prayer as you welcome a new family member into the world. God has a good and perfect plan for your birth and I consider it a privilege to be a part of your birth team. While out-of-hospital births does hold a special place in my heart, I believe every woman should have a doula if she wants it, so I am willing to support you in whatever setting you choose.
